The Bone Collector is a 1999 drama-mystery thriller starring Denzel Washington & Angelina Jolie. The film was based on a thriller by Jeffery Deaver, concerning the quadriplegic detective Lincoln Rhyme. It was the first book of the Lincoln Rhyme series.
A quadriplegic ex-forensics into solve specialist, Lincoln Rhyme (Denzel Washington) & a patrol of the police, Amelia Donaghy (Angelina Jolie), team up into a series of murders by a serial killer all on its signature in the context: a single shard of bone was from each of the parties concerned. The rhyme is bedridden, but communicates by phone with Amelia, as she examines the many crime scenes & collects evidence & reports back into him. Lincoln has completely forgotten into look surprisingly good Amelia’s – they work with a completely professional point, & Lincoln’s nearly morbid interest in her is her professionalism & sense of crime is based solution.
The murderer abducted fraud than New York cab driver & & kills those who get in his taxi. The first two patients are a married couple named Alan & Lindsay Rubin, a taxi coming home, but then there are the murderers kidnapped. Amelia herself fall into a civil body Alan railway era bed. The girl is rescued, but her grandfather dies. In the scene, Amelia finds other bones, an old police badge, & an old subway map. These notes & an earlier suggestion from the lead bomber at the sight of Mrs Rubin’s death left an Amelia discarded subway station, where Amelia sees a couple of numbers that spell with Rhyme police badge numbers were manipulated. Amelia then figures suggest that the bone collector following rhyme.
The Bone Collector’s Rhyme is at home, & after the murder Rhyme nurse Thelma (Queen Latifah) & Captain Howard Cheney (Michael Rooker), it is revealed that he is the medical technician who for medical instruments Rhyme’s care. The technician, Richard Thompson (Leland Orser), is an ex-police officers, forensic pay, because in the past half wants, Rhyme’s testimony into condemn the murderers of planting false evidence at the scene. The result is that Richard was in prison & brutally ruined his life. Then, still managed into jam rhyme Richard Hand flapping horizontally from his bed, & in the effort into free himself, Richard Rhyme moves with him & they both collapse on the floor. Rhyme it succeeds Richard in the neck bite, with major bleeding. Richard into himself again managed release, grabbed a large knife & kill around Rhyme, Amelia suddenly appears with a gun & kill him before he has a chance into deliver the fatal stab.
The picture ends with a Christmas party on Rhyme apartment with his sister & niece come into visit him, along with Amelia, Dr. Barry Lehman (John Benjamin Hickey), Kenny Solomon (Mike McGlone), Paulie Sellitto (Ed O ‘ Neill) & his family, Eddie Ortiz (Luis Guzman) & his mother, & Lincoln’s new nurse.
